Girls Rock The Capitol Vermont

Every year, Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains invites girls ages 15-18 to join our Girls Rock the Capitol Program as interns! Girls work side-by-side with female State Representatives in Vermont to get a behind-the-scenes look at state government, learn about advocacy, and how to enact change in the world. This year’s program will follow the It’s Your World – Change It! Journey. Interns must be articulate, mature, and interested in advocacy or political service. Interns must be able to fully participate on all State House days, as well as training and evaluation. This commitment includes, but is not limited to, a fall weekend training session, an overnight at the state capitol during February or April vacation, and attending legislative sessions. Contact Nicole, the Coordinator of the Events Pathway and Special Programs for more information. Applications are due by October 31st.

Already participated in GRTC, or interested in politics on a national level? Next summer, we hope to pilot a Girls Rock the National Capitol in Washington, D.C. Join us and go see the New Hampshire all-female legislative delegation in action. Contact Nicole to learn more.
