Camera Sign-Out

How to Sign-Out one of the History Department’s Nikon D5100 Cameras:

  1. If you are a student, you must have a parent or guardian fill out a Media Equipment Release Form.  Once I have the completed form, you will be given permission to add an event to the Camera Sign-Out Calendar shown below.  If you are a faculty member, you should email me a request and I will give you permission to add to the calendar.  In both cases, I will give you permission to add events to the calendar through your wwsu email.
  2. Log-in to your wwsu email and then go to your calendar.  Choose a date you would like to use the camera by creating a new event – be sure to click the dropdown next to ‘Calendar’ and choose the ‘Camera Sign Out’ Calendar.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • We only have two cameras to loan out at this time. This means up to two people can request a camera at the same time.
  • If you decide to NOT use the camera, please delete your request on the calendar so other people know it is available.
  • If you borrow a camera for use after school hours, it must be returned directly to Mr. Henchen during TA of the next day.
  • If you are borrowing the camera during the school day, you must identify when you will be returning the camera on the calendar.
  • You are responsible for moving any of your photos or videos from the camera’s SD card to your own hard drive, flash drive, or Google Drive folder before returning the camera to Mr. Henchen.  After you have backed up your media files, please delete them off the SD card and be sure to empty your recycling bin or trash.
  • If there is any media on the SD card when it is returned to Mr. Henchen, it will be automatically DELETED.
  • All camera equipment should be returned directly to the hands of Mr. Henchen.  Do not leave any equipment in Mr. Henchen’s office, classroom, or any other location unless given explicit permission to do so by Mr. Henchen.  In other words, you are responsible for the equipment until Mr. Henchen is physically holding it in his hands.
  • Failure to follow any of these expectations may prevent you from being able to borrow equipment in the future.
